The concept behind the wine
Water is life, movement, and transformation.
This wine embodies its essence: a pure Corvina aged for one year in the depths of the sea, a process that enhances its elegance and imparts unexpected nuances.
The underwater aging, with the absence of oxygen, deep-sea pressure, and constant currents, alters the wine’s aromatic profile, giving it unique finesse and balance.
To allow for a comparative tasting and fully appreciate the transformative power of water, Acqua is also offered in a special box that contains both versions of the same wine: the one aged in the sea and the one matured in the cellar.
A unique sensory experience to understand the role of the environment in the wine’s evolution.
Acqua is available in a Limited Edition within a single wooden box or in a double box, paired with its cellar-aged version for a unique sensory comparison.
Only 70 bottles available in this Limited Edition.
Tasting notes
Dual Box: A Comparison of the Land and Sea Versions.
The special Acqua box allows exploration of the nuances derived from aging in two contrasting environments.
The cellar-matured version expresses the typical characteristics of Corvina, with a more savory texture, sweet spices, and a well-defined classical structure.
The underwater-aged version, on the other hand, is more delicate, with greater aromatic finesse and a smoother drinking experience.
Tasting them side by side offers a unique experience, allowing a deeper understanding of the influence of the Water element on wine.
Winemaking technique
Acqua is made from a selection of Corvina grapes left to dry for 30 days to concentrate flavors and structure.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by six months of aging in second-passage barriques.
Subsequently, part of the bottles rest in the cellar, while the others are immersed in the depths of the sea for one year, undergoing the unique influence of the underwater environment.
This process imparts distinctive characteristics, making it an extraordinary expression of its evolution.
